Detoxing for the New Year

The New Year is here! Everyone is out to start the year right with resolutions. I see lots of people at the yoga studio and out hiking in the beautiful Phoenix weather. Do you want to do a little more? Give yourself a boost and move a little closer to a healthier you?

A green juice will help to alkalize your body, provide more nutrients and eliminate cravings. The standard American diet is largely acidic, creating inflammation in our bodies, depriving us of necessary nutrients, and gradually pulling those nutrients from our bones making them weaker as we age. Fresh green juice will give you more energy, clear thinking, and much needed nourishment. Start adding it to your weekly diet and stay tuned for information on my 3-Day Detox.

Leah's Green Juice

Add the following ingredients into your juicer:

1 organic apple, cored and sliced

1 carrot

1/2 lime or lemon, peeled

2 kale leaves

1 small cucumber

1 handful of spinach

1 small bunch of fresh cilantro or basil (optional), about 1/2 handful
